THIS IS A FREE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM! Quality Care Connections offers a wonderful opportunity to learn how to set up your home as a Child Care Business. This is a straightforward way to determine if this in-home business venture can work for you, especially if you have young children. You will learn how to run your own business at your home with friends for your children. You will also learn what is needed to obtain financial support for children in your care, and will be walked through the State and City requirements. The Florence campus of Lane Community College will host this training program, so you will not have to drive to the Eugene campus.
The Child Care Business Accelerator is a four-month program designed for individuals planning to become Registered Family (RF) or Certified Family (CF) childcare providers, as well as those who have become licensed within the previous 12 months. The program equips participants with essential business skills and knowledge to launch and sustain a childcare program successfully. Participants must meet certain prerequisites before registering. Those who complete the course and fulfill all program requirements are eligible for a $5,000 grant.
The program is offered twice to three times yearly in English and Spanish.
