Board of Directors

Adrian Pollut, President and Director

Adrian has spent almost 8 years advocating for early childhood care in Lane County. He is the Facilitator for the Child Care Working Group, where he engages a diverse group in productive discussions about expanding early childhood care in the Florence Area. Adrian is also the Parent Representative for the Early Childhood Hub of Lane County Family Leadership Council, where he advocates for countywide resources to be brought to Florence and other rural towns and consults with various community-based organizations around Lane County. He also served as Treasurer of Siuslaw Family Connections. Adrian has a B.S. in sociology and is the proud dad of a Siuslaw Elementary first grader.

Sally Wantz, Director

Sally moved to her forever home, Florence, in 2003. Her extensive background in human resources landed her a job for the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians and their business enterprise, Three Rivers Casino Resort, for 16 years. During that time, she co-founded Quality Child Care of Florence because she realized employees needed quality care for the infants, toddlers, and pre-kindergarten children. Now in her retirement, she is entering the childcare arena again to help finish what she started years ago:  to bring much-needed childcare services to our community. Sally is proud to serve on the Florence City Council and in leadership positions for the Florence Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Western Lane Community Foundation, and the Rotary Club of Florence.

Sandy Craft, Director

Sandy Craft has worked in early childhood education for more than 25 years. She began with a three-year stint as an early childhood educator in a private school. Then, she was a childcare provider consultant, conducting on-site visits to childcare centers to support childcare providers pursuing their CDA credentials and to improve program quality. For nearly 10 years, Sandy served as Professional Development Coordinator for the Children’s Service Society of Utah and its Care About Child Care program, where she supervised administrative staff, scheduled instructors, and analyzed and approved quality indicator submissions for childcare providers. She was then promoted to Development Director, where she served for six years, writing grant proposals, grant reporting, donor database management, donor relations, and community outreach.

Justin Ludwig, Director

Justin Ludwig graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications from William Woods University, where he served as managing editor of the campus newspaper. After college, he worked as a newspaper journalist in Missouri before moving to New York City, where he was a real estate property manager for a portfolio of buildings in Lower Manhattan and Queens. Justin moved to Oregon in the summer of 2025 to be closer to his mother, a local Florence nurse, and his sister, a senior branch director at the West Salem Boys and Girls Club. He is the father of two adult children who live and work in the Midwest. Justin is a communications consultant for the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative. In his free time, he's an active member of the Florence community, serving as Chair of the City Club of Florence, Co-coordinator of Florence ORganizes, and Co-chair of the Florence Forward Young Professionals Group. He was also recently appointed to a 2-year term on the Board of Directors for the League of Women Voters of Oregon.
